NL #5 x Shanti (Delta 9)

From:  Delta 9

Grade:  A –

Type:  Both are Indica strains, blended well.

Price: $40 / 8th Member

Appearance:  Medium sized buds that are green dominant but with plenty of color mixture.  They were well manicured and presented very well.

Aroma:  You can’t miss the hint of the garlic aroma from the Shanti, and mixed with the usual NL experience I’ll say this is a pleasant aroma that kept me going back for another sniff.  Very unique.

Taste:  Definitely carried some of the pine/citrus blend that NL#5 is often known for.  I’m not familiar enough with the Shiva Shanti on its own to know how it affected the taste of this strain.

Buzz Type:  This is a great indica buzz, plenty of couchlock potential with a strong mental zone-out.  I found it to be very contemplative in its nature, yet not too strong.  The Shanti mellows out the NL#5 just enough to leave you functional, but not so much that it would render the NL less effective than you’d want.

Buzz Length:  Medium 1.5 hours

Pain Management: (We are NOT doctors – personal opinion ONLY) Severe back pain was easily negated with this strain, but proper posturing and positiong was important prior to smoking as you can easily zone out for an hour or more in a “bad position”.

Overall:  This is a nice strain that I would pick up again.  It’s unique aroma provides something special for your medicine cabinet and the high and pain management work in conjunction with one another.  Lasts long enough to provide value.
